MS Amlin Underwriting appoints new chair of risk committee

Lloyd’s re/insurer MS Amlin Underwriting has appointed Margot Cronin as an independent non-executive director (iNED) and new chair of its risk committee, succeeding Gilles Bonvarlet.

Cronin will join the company's board on January 1, 2021, she will assume chairmanship of the risk committee once Bonvarlet steps down. Bonvarlet will remain on the board until March-end.

Cronin will also become a member of the risk, audit, underwriting oversight and nominations committees for MS AUL.

Cronin has over 30 years of leadership experience and spent the last 18 years of her executive career with Aviva in several senior, group and regional roles. She also holds board positions at HSBC Life, Prudential International and Tesco Underwriting, where she also chairs the risk committee.
