Munich Re names global CFO of insurtech unit Digital Partners
Munich Re has appointed Angela Homm as global CFO of its subsidiary Digital Partners, which was established by the German reinsurer in 2016 to explore insurtech opportunities and partner with the industry disruptors.
Munich Re Digital Partners has seen a significant growth since its formation and has set aggressive targets for 2018 and beyond, according to a company statement.
In her new role, Homm will focus on non-technical accounting, budgeting and planning. She will be responsible for the data asset and the advanced analytics team in the future. She will also have a dual role as senior director of risk & finance for the US Munich Re Digital Partners team.
For the US operations, Homm will oversee all aspects of enterprise risk management, compliance, and financial reporting. She will sit on the US and global leadership teams.
Homm joined Munich Re in 2008 via American Modern Insurance Group in the group audit function.
