Munich Re US appoints Kuchma COO of reinsurance division
Munich Reinsurance America, a subsidiary of Munich Re, has appointed Anita Kuchma as chief operations officer (COO) of its reinsurance division.
Kuchma has held various multi-line underwriting and management positions at Munich Re. She has also served as deputy chief financial officer and head of planning and controlling responsible for leading the planning, forecasting, budget, and financial analysis units. In 2019, she joined the reinsurance division to lead the professional liability and cyber team.
Kuchma will report directly to Steve Levy, president and CEO of reinsurance division, Munich Reinsurance America, and will be a member of the division’s executive leadership team.
“We welcome Anita to this new executive leadership role,” said Levy. “With 27 years of experience at Munich Re in a variety of leadership positions, Anita has an in-depth understanding of our business and is uniquely qualified to assume the COO position. She is a highly respected professional, dedicated to promoting engaged, team-based problem solving. Her strong track record in both financial management and underwriting gives her a unique perspective that will help guide our organisation as we continue to seek ways to help our clients protect against new and evolving risks.”
