Neil McConachie resigns from Third Point Re board

Neil McConachie, the former co-founder and chief financial officer of Bermuda-based  Fidelis Insurance, has stepped down from the board of Third Point Reinsurance.

According to the US Securities and Exchange Commission filing, Third Point Re board of directors received McConachie's resignation on July 1, 2019. The effective date of the resignation is July 1.

McConachie joined Third Point Re board in January 2018.

He co-founded property/casualty re/insurer Fidelis in 2015 with Richard Brindle, and later served as its group chief financial officer until December 2017.

Prior to Fidelis, McConachie served on Third Point Re's board of directors from November 2013 to June 2015 where he served as the chairman of the governance and nominating committee and as a member of the audit, compensation, and risk committees.

Previously, he worked for the Lancashire Group from February 2006 to June 2012 and during that time held the roles of chief financial officer, chief risk officer, chief operating officer and president.

McConachie was also senior vice president, treasurer and chief accounting officer of Montpelier Re Holdings from January 2002 to January 2006.
