New short-term car insurance broker launches this month
Zoomcover, a new short-term car insurance broker, launches this month. It chose Ignite Insurance Systems (Ignite), a policy administration software specialist, to provide its front- and back-office software solution.
Ignite has developed variable policy-term quote and buy facilities, back-office policy management and MID submission integration for the start-up, and the Ignite Broker system will be used to service the new policyholders that Zoomcover CEO John Hatfield hopes to attract.
Zoomcover will use Ignite’s cloud-based platform to launch its first seven on-demand motor products underwritten by ERS.
John Hatfield, CEO of Zoomcover, said: “Our business strategy relies on being quick to market and responsive to customer demands. We’re starting small but we have big ambitions so a platform that will scale up with us is critical. We have been particularly impressed by Ignite’s attention to detail, responsiveness, and willingness to welcome changes as they appear.”
Toby MacLachlan, managing director of Ignite added: “John approached us earlier this year with great experience in the sector and a smart business plan that would play to Ignite’s system strengths. John has worked closely with our team from start to finish, making this project both rapid and a pleasure. Speed to market is critical for our customers and so delivering this new system within eight weeks is particularly gratifying.”
