Orchid Insurance picks new CFO from Ryan Specialty Group

US property catastrophe managing general underwriters Orchid Insurance has appointed Ryan Specialty Group's Michael Garamoni as new chief financial officer (CFO).

Garamoni has spent the past 13 years in finance, reporting and planning, which included roles as vice president of global finance for Ryan Specialty Group, and at Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC).

“Michael’s experience in financial operations and technology systems is a welcome asset for Orchid Insurance,” said Brad Emmons, president and CEO of Orchid Underwriters Agency. “He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge, which includes a proven track record of success in challenging financial roles. His understanding and management of financial processes in a global company will strengthen Orchid’s financial operations. I am confident he will be an invaluable asset as we continue to pursue attractive growth opportunities and expand our market leadership position.”
