Pacific Life Re Australia appoints new head of client solutions

Pacific Life Re Australia has appointed Martyn Gilling as head of client solutions. In his new role, he will have responsibility for Pacific Life Re Australia’s market strategy and sales, as well as developing solutions for its clients. He will report to Pacific Life Re Australia’s general manager, Tyson Johnston.

Gilling has over 30 years’ experience in the insurance industry, working across the Canadian, Australian, United Kingdom, Caribbean and Latin American markets, with exposure to a variety of distribution channels and products. Prior to joining Pacific Life Re, Gilling lived in Canada, working for Reinsurance Group of America (RGA) as vice president of business development. He has also previously held positions at RGA Australia, MLC, CommInsure and Swiss Re.

General manager of Pacific Life Re Australia, Tyson Johnston, said: “Following an extensive recruitment process, we are delighted to welcome Martyn to the Pacific Life Re team.
