PartnerRe hires new Asia life & health CEO from Swiss Re
Bermuda-based PartnerRe has hired John Mok as new chief executive officer (CEO) of its life and health business in Asia Pacific, effective February 2021. He joins from Swiss Re.
Mok brings 18 years experience in the life & health re/insurance industry in Asia Pacific. He most recently held the position of head of client markets in Japan, where he led Swiss Re Japan’s growth strategy for both their life & health and property & casualty business. Prior to that, Mok held various positions responsible for life & health markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, after starting his career in Australia in both insurance and reinsurance industries.
Based in Singapore, Mok will be responsible for developing and growing PartnerRe’s life and health business in the region. He will report to Marc Archambault, chief executive of life and health and group executive committee member.
