PartnerRe hires TransRe talent to lead US casualty business

Reinsurer PartnerRe has appointed Gareth Stanley as head of US casualty, based in the company's Stamford office. He joins from TransRe.

Stanley has nearly 30 years of experience in casualty reinsurance, underwriting and leadership positions in London, Bermuda and New York. Most recently, he served as head of US broker market, traditional casualty at TransRe.

In his new role, Stanley will assume the responsibility to lead the company's strategic effort to further grow and develop its US casualty business. He will report to Jon Colello, CEO P&C Americas.

Colello said: “We are excited to have an individual of Gareth's caliber join our team. His appointment is one of a number of recent external hires and internal promotions that will further strengthen our leadership position in the P&C market and underlines our commitment to offering best-in-class underwriting to our clients and brokers.”
