Peak Re hires Zurich exec as Europe head

Hong Kong-based reinsurer Peak Re has appointed Jacques Burri as its head of Europe.

Based in Peak Re’s new Zurich office, which is set to open at the end of 2015, he will report to Chris Kershaw, managing director of global markets. He will also lead the Zurich office.

He joins the firm from Zurich Insurance Group, where he served as Europe reinsurance manager, in charge of the group’s European as well as specialty reinsurance placements.
