PERILS releases final loss estimate for Xaver

Catastrophe insurance data specialist PERILS has published its fourth and final loss estimate for European windstorm Xaver.

It is estimated that the windstorm, which hit Western and Northern Europe on December 5 and 6, 2013, will cost insurers €763 million.

This compares to the third loss estimate of €759m which was issued on June 5, 2014. The first loss estimate of €680 million was issued by PERILS on January 16, 2014.
