Pioneer appoints head of catastrophe risk in London

Pioneer Underwriters, the underwriting group within Minova Insurance, has appointed Anand Hari as head of catastrophe risk and exposure management.

Based in the company's London office, Hari will report directly to Graeme Rayner, group director of underwriting.

Hari most recently served as head of direct and facultative modelling at Faraday Syndicate 435, responsible for developing and implementing the strategic vision for the modelling team which included delivering Solvency II and other regulatory requirements from the PRA and Lloyd’s.

Rayner commented: "I am very pleased to welcome Anand to Pioneer, whose expert capabilities are an extremely valuable addition to our team in London. Anand has an outstanding reputation in this specialist area and his approach to understanding risk will be of tremendous benefit as our international expansion gathers pace."
