Pioneer hires Hartford underwriter for E&S property operation

Pioneer Underwriters, the underwriting group within Minova Insurance, has appointed Kellie Reese as an underwriter in its recently launched excess and surplus (E&S) property operation.

She will report to Dave Phillips, based in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Reese is a specialist property underwriter with almost 30 years of experience in the class. Most recently she worked for The Hartford, having previously been with Fireman’s Fund and ACE.

Philips, head of E&S property at Pioneer said: "I'm pleased to welcome Kellie on board as we grow and build Pioneer’s capability in the Property E&S arena. Pioneer is focused on delivering an outstanding product to our clients and brokers via our sophisticated underwriting platform and is building an exceptionally talented team to achieve this - Kellie will be an integral part of that."

Pioneer’s property E&S operation writes exclusively on a non-admitted basis, offering both primary and excess layers.
