Reinsurance Association of America appoints new chair from Markel

The Reinsurance Association of America (RAA) has appointed Jed Rhoads as new chair of its board of directors.

Rhoads is the president and chief underwriting officer of Markel Global Reinsurance.

Frank Nutter, president of the RAA, said: “We are pleased to announce that Jed Rhoads is the new Chair of the RAA’s Board of Directors. Jed’s proven leadership and long affiliation with the RAA will serve the Association and its members well. We look forward to working with him on our legislative priorities and strategic objectives.”

Rhoads commented: “The RAA has a great advocacy track record on both state and federal priorities for reinsurers doing business in the U.S. I am honored to chair the RAA and provide my expertise and guidance in support of the RAA’s goals.”
