RKH hires healthcare specialist from CNA Hardy to drive global growth

RKH Specialty (RKH) has hired an underwriting manager from CNA Hardy to boost its healthcare team.

Richard Putnam joins as divisional director, healthcare. In his new role, Putnam will work closely with RKH’s hub offices in Singapore, Dubai, Miami, and its network of producers to develop a range of products and services for international clients in territories outside the US

At CNA Hardy, he led the international underwriting team and developed a wide range of healthcare products for individual clinicians, medical technology start-ups, NHS providers, private hospitals, and whole government healthcare systems

Alistair Carter, head of healthcare, RKH, said: “In recent years, the US has formed the majority of our healthcare book. However, healthcare spending is increasing exponentially across the globe and many countries are experiencing significant demographic shifts and social mobility that has resulted in a growing middle class who have the appetite and affluence to demand high quality healthcare, which in turn is driving demand for our services. Bringing together Richard’s expertise with our global reach and presence in international markets will enable us to capitalise on these new opportunities and deliver unique products for clients in these regions.”
