Sedgwick bolsters corporate citizenship programme with new UK partnerships
Sedgwick, a global provider of technology-enabled risk, benefits and integrated business solutions, has secured partnerships with multiple charitable organisations in the UK. It said the aim is to further demonstrate its commitment to the communities in which it operates and strengthen the impact of its corporate citizenship activities across the country.
Sedgwick said it is the first loss adjusting and insurance services firm in the UK to sign the Race at Work Charter and fully support the initiative led by the Business in the Community (BITC). By signing the charter, Sedgwick formally expands its commitment to promoting diversity across all levels of the company, makes racial equality as a top priority, and places diversity and inclusion at the heart of its work culture.

Together, we can break down barriers in the workplace, raise the aspirations and achievements of talented individuals, and deliver an enormous boost to the long-term economic position of the UK.”
Other strategic partnerships that Sedgwick has forged in the UK include: Social Enterprise UK, an authority for responsible businesses; Renaisi, which helps refugees return to employment; Recycling Lives, which provides skips, waste bag collections and “man and van” collections to support social and charitable programmes and focuses on food redistribution, offender rehabilitation, job creation and tackling homelessness; and Paint 360, which recycles and re-engineers water-based paints into new products, using a workforce of disadvantaged young people.

Following the introduction of its corporate citizenship UK board in 2020, Sedgwick recently published its interim UK-focused corporate citizenship report to bring focus and strategic direction to Sedgwick’s corporate social responsibility and responsible business priorities.
