SiriusPoint bolsters energy & marine underwriting with Munich Re hire

Global specialty re/insurer  SiriusPoint has bolstered its marine and energy unit with new underwriting hire from  Munich Re Syndicate.

Maddie Morris has been appointed as underwriter, energy & marine liability.

Morris, who will be based in London, joins from Munich Re Syndicate. She brings with her almost a decade of experience in marine & energy liability underwriting.

In her new role, she will oversee the growth and refinement of SiriusPoint’s marine & energy liability account. She will report to Richard Rudden, senior energy underwriter.

Morris will join Tomais Gaughan, Laurence Winter, Hannah Sutton and Lucas Brennan as part of SiriusPoint’s energy & marine liability team, which has been led by Richard Rudden since the energy account’s formation in 2018. Rudden previously headed Aspen Insurance Holdings' international upstream energy team.
