SiriusPoint reaches into MS Amlin for new leader of US casualty book

Global specialty re/insurer  SiriusPoint has plundered MS Amlin Syndicate in its search to secure a new chief for building out its US casualty treaty book from London.

Phil Wooldridge will come to SiriusPoint after a 12-year stint at MS Amlin Syndicate most recently as chief underwriting officer for reinsurance. He was previously at Argo Group as a US Liability Class Underwriter and started his career as a liability underwriter at Faraday in London.

SiriusPoint's head of international strategic business development, Bobby Heerasing (pictured), said: “I am very pleased to welcome Phil to SiriusPoint and our London Casualty team. Phil brings with him a wealth of experience and relationships which will position SiriusPoint well as we look to grow and develop our Casualty reinsurance offering globally.”
