Sixth Street grabs early Talcott advisor to run unit during succession

Sixth Street Partners tapped a former advisor to its life and annuity unit  Talcott to step in at the unit to oversee the operations through a pending succession.

Imran Siddiqui will step as interim president of Financial Group from July just ahead of the pending retirement of  Talcott Resolution Life Insurance CEO Pete Sannizzaro, Bloomberg reported based on internal correspondence it claimed to have reviewed.

Lisa Proch and chief financial officer Rob Siracusa will serve as interim co-presidents of the US unit  Talcott Resolution.

Siddiqui had previously acted as consultant to  Talcott when  Sixth Street acquired the unit in 2021 to make it the largest insurer in its group today.

Siddiqui is known as an architect of Apollo's annuity unit Athene Holding before hanging his own consultancy sign.
