Skuld hires Willis exec
Marine insurer Skuld has appointed Ove Kristian Roll to lead Skuld’s Bergen office in Norway.
He starts with Skuld in the autumn, and succeeds Bjørn Flåm who is taking on a new role in Skuld’s Oslo office.
Roll joins from Willis, where he most recently served as executive director and head of legal under the marine and the marine offshore department at Willis in Norway. He previously worked for Odfjell which he joined in 2000 rising to vice-president, insurance and legal.
Ståle Hansen, Skuld president and chief executive officer, said: “This is a significant appointment and we are delighted that Ove is joining us. Bergen and Western Norway are very important markets for Skuld and I am confident that someone of Ove’s experience and calibre will help us to further develop our strong market position there on all lines of Skuld’s products.
“It is testament to Skuld’s growth and ambitions that we are attracting talent such as Ove. Skuld lives by the promise of delivering service and competence you can rely on, and as a seasoned broker in the region he recognises the importance of that promise, and we look forward to his arrival in the office.”
