Sompo taps QBE for new head of international casualty
Bermuda-based specialty re/insurer Sompo International Holdings has tapped QBE for its new head of international casualty, London Market.
Jon Hiller (pictured), Senior Vice President, will be based in London and report to Mike Reid, Executive Vice President, Head of Casualty, International Insurance.
Hiller has 15 years of experience gained in the Lloyd’s and London markets and in Sydney, Australia. He has held leadership roles in claims, underwriting and project & portfolio management at companies including AIG, Chubb and JLT. He joins Sompo International from QBE, where he led the company’s Canadian Liability & International Environmental Portfolios.
