SRS bags new chairman in Barbados as Evans steps down
Strategic Risk Solutions (SRS), the independent insurance company manager, has appointed a new chairman of Strategic Risk Solutions (Barbados) as Chris Evans steps down from the position.
Kirk Cyrus, who is currently SRS’s managing director in Barbados, has taken on the additional role of chairman as of May 1, 2021.
“During the past year, Kirk has proven himself to be a key member of our executive management structure,” said SRS chief executive officer Brady Young. “This well-deserved promotion is a natural next step as we continue to execute our strategy of expanding our customer base and geographic reach as we have done recently in other jurisdictions.
“In welcoming Kirk to his new role, we extend our sincere appreciation to Chris, who has played an integral role in developing a great operation in Barbados, as well as a stellar team and client list. We wish him all the best in his retirement.”
Born in Barbados, Cyrus began his insurance management career in Barbados in the late 1990s. He is well-known and respected in the insurance sector in Barbados and serves on the Insurance Committee of the Barbados International Business Association (BIBA) as well as being a regular contributing writer, both locally and internationally, on insurance and risk considerations for business owners.
