Third Point Re CEO Bredahl joins TigerRisk as president & COO
Third Point Re chief executive Robert Bredahl has joined reinsurance broking and risk/capital management firm TigerRisk as president, chief operating officer (COO) and member of its board.
Bredahl recently resigned from the Bermuda-based reinsurer Third Point Re. He was a co-founder of the firm in 2012 and held roles including chief underwriting officer, chief operating officer and chief financial officer prior to becoming CEO and president.
Prior to joining Third Point, Bredahl was chief executive officer of Aon Benfield Securities, Aon’s Investment Banking Group, as well as president of the Americas division of Aon Benfield.
Bredahl will join TigerRisk in the middle of June and will be headquartered at the company's New York office.
He replaces Tony Ursano as the president, who departed from the broker in May.
