Tokio Marine Kiln boosts team with ACE & Aon hires
Tokio Marine Kiln, the dual platform provider of specialist and corporate insurance, has strengthened its German team with two hires.
Markus English has been appointed as an enterprise risks underwriting manager and will focus on cyber, intellectual property, reputational harm and supply chain risks.
He joins from ACE where he led the financial lines department for Germany and Austria.
Peter Geerken joins as a surety and credit underwriter, working closely with Werner Richter who was appointed to the Frankfurt office in 2014.
Geerkan joins from Aon Credit International where he was a specialist in product development and client management.
The hires are part of Tokio Marine Kiln’s strategy to build its specialist risk capabilities through its Lloyd’s platform, whilst broadening local capabilities in the German market with in-country experts.
Oliver Terlinden, regional managing director, said: “As we continue to expand our operation in Germany we have been looking to attract individuals who have a background and skill set to underpin our growth strategy and develop key product lines.
“Markus and Peter both fit this criteria and bring with them expertise in some of our most in-demand product areas such as cyber, whilst having a broad range of industry knowledge and contacts within the German market. We look forward to working with them to help grow our business and expand our offering to clients.”
