Tokio Marine taps V3 Insurance boss for new COO
Tokio Marine HCC has appointed Susan Rivera as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Rivera was a founding shareholder of V3 Insurance Partners.
Rivera served as president and CEO of V3 from 2009 until earlier this year. She was an independent member of Tokio Marine HCC's board of directors from 2014 to 2015 and served on the audit, compensation and enterprise risk oversight committees.
From 2007 to 2009, Rivera was president of QBE Specialty and chief actuary of the Americas division of QBE Insurance Group. Previously, she was president and chief underwriting officer of Praetorian Insurance Company until its acquisition by QBE in 2007. Prior to that, she spent 15 years at AIG, holding a variety of positions of increasing responsibility.
Rivera has relocated to Houston, Texas for her new role, reporting to Christopher Williams, Tokio Marine HCC’s CEO, and working with Tokio Marine HCC’s executive management team.
