Top executive exit triggers leadership reshuffle at MS Amlin

Global re/insurer  MS Amlin’s business service boss has resigned just a year after assuming its leadership to pursue other opportunities, prompting a leadership reshuffle at the company.

Rob Houghton, the chief executive officer (CEO) of MS Amlin Business Services (MS ABS) will be departing at the end of 2021. He joined MS Amlin in 2019 and last year took on the role of CEO.

MS Amlin Corporate Services (MS ACS) board has hired Matt Pasterfield as new CEO of MS ABS. He will join the company next year. Until then, Robin Adam, currently chairman of the board of directors for MS ACS, will serve as interim CEO.

Pasterfield has more than 20 years of global industry experience. He has led IT and operations for several multinational insurers, most recently holding the international chief operating officer role at The Hartford.

The company believes his experience is well-suited to assist MS ABS further enhance its strategy and provide valuable services to the legal entities at MS Amlin.
