Towergate CEO resigns; replacement sought

The chief executive officer of Towergate Insurance, Mark Hodges, has resigned from his position.

Alastair Lyons, currently non-executive chairman, has taken the role of executive chairman until a replacement is found.

Lyons said: "I would like to thank Mark for all that he has contributed to Towergate over the past three years. The group has changed significantly under his leadership and is now ready to move to the next stage in its development as the leading distributor of SME and specialist personal lines insurance in the UK."

Hodges added: “I have enjoyed working with the Towergate team and wish them every success in the future."
