Towergate exec departs for Direct Insurance

Lloyd’s broker Direct Insurance London Market, part of Direct Insurance Group, has appointed Matthew Pini as senior broker.

Pini joins from Towergate London Market where he served as commercial placement broker for three years.

Pini said: “I’ve been watching from afar as the London Market team at Direct have continued to grow and I’m excited to now be a part of it. I’m confident my experience will complement everything Neil, David and the team are already doing."

David Bearman, group chief executive officer, said: “We were aware of Matthew long before he decided to join our business and we have always heard great things. He brings with him a wealth of relevant experience and he will be a perfect fit as we move up a gear with our development plans.”
