Tractable taps former Amazon exec to drive AI development

Insurtech  Tractable has hired a former leader from Amazon to lead the company’s artificial intelligence (AI) development and research.

Mohan Mahadevan (pictured) joins as chief science officer. He was previously head of Computer Vision and Machine Learning (Robotics Applications) at Amazon. His most recent role was senior vice president of Applied Science at UK computer vision unicorn Onfido.

At  Tractable, Mahadevan will lead a team of more than 40 AI and computer vision scientists, including PhDs from global top universities and research labs, who develop the technology that is at the core of Tractable’s products.
