TransRe changes underwriting structure in management reshuffles

Reinsurer TransRe has changed its underwriting structure and promoted a number of keyleaders within its business.

Paul Bonny & Ken Brandt have been promoted to co-presidents of global underwriting.

Bonny was previously president of Europe and Asia Pacific while Brandt was president of the North American business unit.

Paul McKeon, who was previously chief underwriting officer for North America, replaces Brandt in this role. McKeon will be replaced by Elizabeth Geary, who was previously global cyber leader.  She, in turn, will be replaced by Rhett Hewitt.

Meanwhile, Lisa Moser has been promoted to global property management leader reporting to the CEO, a new role the company said will support TransRe’s underwriting teams and optimize its global portfolio. Moser was previously New York property leader and will be replaced by John Fugit.

The company said of the changes: “Collectively, these changes reflect the changing business environment in which TransRe operates, and positions TransRe to maximize opportunities. All promotions are from within, and they reflect the strength and depth of talent within the company.”
