UIB moves into special risks

Reinsurance broker UIB has launched a special risks division to provide tailor-made insurance solutions for a range of business classes.

The division was established following the hire of Charles O'Sullivan as managing director, and Karen Shelley as operations director.

Predominantly focused on catastrophe-exposed areas, the special risks division is able to provide solutions for classes of business including catastrophe coverage for property risks, general property insurance and business interruption, including contingent business interruption.

“The creation of this dedicated division is a natural progression for the group and will boost our output of tailor-made insurance products for our clients,” said Philip Tuite Dalton, chief executive of UIB.
