VIG Re director unveils plans to step down

Claudia Stránský, a member of the board of directors of Czech Republic-based reinsurer VIG Re, has revealed she will step down from her duties at the firm on December 31, 2015.

Stránský has resigned from the role in order to pursue career opportunities outside of the industry.

Johannes Hartmann, chairman of the board of VIG Re, said: “On behalf of the whole board and all the colleagues at VIG Re, I would like to thank Claudia for the great professional contribution she gave to the company.

“I personally want to thank her for the support I have received from her. It has been a pleasure working with Claudia and I wish her all the best for her future career.”

Karl Fink, chairman of the supervisory board of VIG Re, added: “I have accepted Claudia’s decision to resign from the board of directors regretfully. Stránský has always given an outstanding and positive contribution to the management board, building on the extensive experience she gained from various assignments in VIG Group.

“I’d like to thank her on behalf of the supervisory board for her contribution to VIG Re over the past seven years.”
