Willis appoints natural resources head
Broker Willis has appointed Nick Dussuyer as global head of Willis’s natural resources industry.
Based in London, Dussuyer will be responsible for bringing Willis’s specialist industry capabilities together with locally based teams to address natural resources clients’ needs on a global basis.
Dussuyer joins from BearingPoint where he was member of the global natural resources leadership team and the partner in charge of resources and utilities in the UK & Ireland.
Additionally, he also led the global business strategy and transformation team, primarily serving natural resources clients.
Stefan Spohr, global head of industry at Willis, said: “Willis has a long and proud history of serving clients around the world and helping them to manage complex risks in new and innovative ways.
“We are at our best when we connect all our capabilities together to ensure we bring our deep industry knowledge and analytical expertise to every client in every industry all over the world. I am thrilled to welcome Nick to the Willis family where he will focus on the unique needs of our clients within the natural resources industry.”
Dussuyer added: “The natural resources industry – which includes companies and contractors in the oil and gas, chemicals, metals and mining, and power and utilities segments – is a sophisticated and highly tuned sector, particularly when it comes to risk management.
“Few other industries can appreciate more the need for a 360 degree view of risks across the organisation – from all of the business functions and operating units through to the boardroom.”
“As a professional risk advisory, re/insurance broking and human capital and benefits firm, Willis is in a unique position to provide clients with the full range of progressive solutions that link risk management to an organisation’s strategic objectives.
“Willis is already a leading adviser to the global natural resources industry; I am looking forward to providing our clients with the superior insights, service, creativity and trust that they have come to expect from Willis.”
