Willis Global Captive appoints CEO
Willis Group Holdings has appointed Paul Owens as CEO of the newly formed Willis Global Captive Management business, effective January 1, 2014.
In his new role Owens will lead the formation of Willis Global Captive Management, bringing together the captive operations of North America, Europe and International into a single cohesive business.
Owens, a graduate chartered accountant, has held a number of senior positions within Willis Group since joining in 1990, most recently as chief operating officer of Willis and Global Businesses and has had a long association with the Group's captive operations.
"Paul is ideally qualified for this new role, bringing with him a wealth of experience in the areas of insurance, regulation, finance and governance along with his in depth knowledge and connections throughout Willis,” said Steve Hearn, deputy CEO of Willis Group. “This new appointment will help ensure that Willis Global Captive Management is properly positioned to maintain and further develop our client offerings."
