WR Berkley rolls out startup personal insurance platform

US insurer WR Berkley has launched its startup personal insurance platform Berkley One in Illinois, the first state of a planned national state-by-state rollout.

Working with a select group of independent agents, Berkley One offers home, automobile, fine art and collectibles, and excess liability insurance solutions, with additional product expansions slated in 2018, the company said.

"At Berkley One, we’re convinced there is room for a new solution — one that combines highly personal interactions with the best, smartest, cutting edge innovation," said Kathleen Tierney, president and founder. "The essence of Berkley One is about moving forward. We use every bit of knowledge and experience we have to create exceptional experiences for our clients whose lives are always in motion. What they can expect from Berkley One is a partner who will always listen, always challenge the status quo, and always seek to insure the adventure that is their life."

“We’re engaging agents and brokers who are committed to excellence, experts in advice and looking for ways to do more for their clients. They are side-by-side with us in building the organization and creating customised solutions for today’s clients," Tierney added.
