XL Catlin appoints lead fine art and specie underwriter in Canada

Re/insurer XL Catlin has appointed Farzina Coladon as lead fine art and specie (FAS) underwriter in Canada.

Based in Toronto, Coladon will be responsible for underwriting fine art, jewelers block and general specie insurance.

Coladon joins XL Catlin with more than 20 years' experience in the insurance industry. She has previously worked at the Guarantee Company of North America as senior underwriter and held various leadership and management roles at Chubb North America.

Jennifer Schipf, senior underwriter and senior vice president of North America FAS, said: "We are very excited to have Farzina join our underwriting practice in Canada. Her specialized background will help lead our business in the country while continuing to strengthen existing relationships with our clients and brokers."
