XL Catlin hires Gallagher Bassett exec for US Southeast operations
Re/insurer XL Catlin has expanded its US Southeast regional broker and client management unit by hiring Arden Young as its new client distribution leader.
In his new role, Young will work with XL Catlin brokers and clients throughout the Southeast, helping them access XL Catlin’s multi-line property, casualty and speciality insurance coverages claims expertise and risk management services.
Young joins XL Catlin from Gallagher Bassett Services, where he most recently served as vice president for business development. Prior to that, he held various industry risk management positions including senior manager in risk management for Georgia Pacific.
Young will report to Kimberly Reed, XL Catlin’s regional leader for the Southeast, who commented: "Given Arden’s extensive experience working with insurers, brokers and in corporate risk management, he brings a unique perspective to our team. He has walked in our clients’ shoes and understands the business risks they contend with every day.
"We’re looking forward to having Arden put his 30 years of hands-on experience and understanding to work for our clients and brokers, helping to find relevant insurance solutions that meet their particular needs."
