York International strengthens London team

York International, a UK and international loss adjuster and subsidiary of York Risk Services Group and part of York Specialized Loss Adjusting, has appointed Marc Godfrey as associate technical director.

Godfrey, who will be based in London, will continue the development of the firm’s property, engineering and construction product lines within its home foreign operation. He will be responsible for the development and delivery of claims services for direct markets and reinsurers, including contractor all risks, engineering and property.

Godfrey joins York International from a well-regarded adjusting firm, where he was international director global technical service (GTS), based In Mexico City. Previously, he was based in Brazil and was also a former construction director in London.

“Marc’s extensive adjusting expertise and his experience in areas such as Latin America and the Middle East directly supports our continued focus on building a strong international presence,” said Alistair Jacob, York International’s managing director.

“Alongside his technical skills, Marc is able to offer our market the unique regional knowledge, language and cultural perspectives that come from his on the ground experience in key territories such as Brazil and Mexico.”
