Property cat renews double digit down 1/4; cedants stick to savings

Property cat reinsurance rates fell at a double digit pace at the 1/4 reinsurance renewals as the continuing march of rising capacity, including heavy doses of competitive ILS deals, outpaced demand from a cedant pool focused on pocketing savings in a softening market, global re/insurance brokerage Aon said of the deals just closed.
