Africa Re posts 8.5% H1 revenue growth despite heavier losses

The African Reinsurance Corporation (Africa Re) increased insurance service revenue by 8.5% to $665 million in the first half of 2026, while its underwriting performance remained resilient, despite a materially heavier large-loss burden.
