AIG bulked up more at 1.1; nat cats could smack overexposed rivals

Globe P&C insurer AIG retained its outsized reinsurance programme at the 1.1 renewals, even extending and broadening coverage in select areas as the outlook for natural catastrophe losses rages unabated, leaving rivals overly exposed, CEO Peter Zaffino (pictured) has claimed.
