AIG pairs with Onex AM in takeover of global re/insurer Convex

Insurance group AIG will team with Canadian asset manager Onex for a takeover of global specialty re/insurer Convex, taking underwriting results for itself via an all account quota share, but placing majority ownership of the firm with Onex, whose purchase it will help finance with new AuM and an equity stake in the manager.
