Zurich’s Penny Seach warns risk no longer stays in its lane as interconnected systems drive systemic losses

Insurers need to rethink how they define and manage risk, while also bearing in mind the warning that “risk does not stay in its lane”. So says Penny Seach, chief underwriting officer at Zurich Insurance, who gave the global insurance keynote address at the opening day of the Airmic conference in Birmingham, as she described a profession under pressure from accelerating change.
