Aon’s aviation veteran to depart
Aon veteran Mike Smith has decided to retire from the industry after a 35-year career in aviation broking.
Smith is working closely with Tracy Toro, Aon’s global leader for aviation, and Alex Gibson, UK leader for transportation and logistics, through his retirement from Aon on March 31, 2024.
“Mike has made significant contributions to building our UK aviation team and we want to thank him for his dedication to clients and colleagues throughout his career,” said Lee Meyrick, global industry specialty leader for transportation and logistics and CEO of global marine for Commercial Risk.
“Our global aviation team continues to deliver differentiated capabilities, expertise and insights, including specialty broking for the aviation industry, to help our transportation and logistics clients make better decisions to protect and grow their businesses.”
