Ardonagh acquires Scottish healthcare broker as UK demand rises

Ardonagh Group’s SME broking platform Ardonagh Advisory is expanding its  presence in Scotland with the acquisition of Solutions Healthcare Ltd, a healthcare insurance broker.

The healthcare broker was founded in 2014 by directors Alan and Evelyn Christie and is based in Glasgow. It offers advice on private medical insurance and employee benefits including life assurance, critical illness and business protection. Solutions Healthcare also provides an additional claims service, ensuring clients receive a fully supported, end-to-end service.

As part of the M&A, the broker will sit within Towergate Health & Protection, which is one of Ardonagh Advisory’s companies.

Evelyn Christie will continue to guide the business in a client-facing role against the backdrop of a fast-growing health insurance market, which is being fuelled by increasing demand for private healthcare in the UK.
