Ardonagh Advisory builds presence in northwest England with acquisition

UK insurance intermediary Ardonagh Group's SME broking platform Ardonagh Advisory has expanded its presence in the northwest of England with the acquisition of a commercial broker with a strong expertise in the industrial, care and agricultural sectors.

Ardonagh Advisory has acquired Southport Insurance Brokers (SIB Insurance), an independent commercial broker that provides cover across a broad range of risks.

Founded in 1965, SIB Insurance is a regional broker with longstanding client relationships and a team of around 20 employees.

SIB managing director, Ian Robertson, will continue to lead the business, supported by his existing management team.
