Ark sees fragmented re/insurance market as cat rates fall and casualty holds firm

As pricing in property-catastrophe business falls at a pace that is starting to unsettle the market, Ark Insurance Group is betting that discipline will matter more than timing. The re/insurance carrier believes the sector has moved off its peak, but not into a true soft market, leaving room for attractive returns even as conditions deteriorate.
