Atlantic hurricanes, already behind schedule, hit mid-season lull
The tropical Atlantic has sunk to "extremely quiet" storm conditions just as the season hit its historical peak with to-date activity already some 25% below historical activity levels, analysts at Colorado State University’s Tropical Weather & Climate Research department said in a rare one-off commentary to explain an off-forecast season.
