Australia clears path for cat bonds and new treaty structures

Australia will prepare to greet cat bonds and other ILS formats in its risk management toolkit as regulators wrapped up a plan to loosen just enough regulations to make alternative capital and alternative structures a bigger part of the nation’s reinsurance game.
