Australia insurance sector ‘technically sophisticated’: Fitch

Australia’s insurance industry has received an implied operating environment score of “aa” from Fitch Ratings, though intense competition in the life sector has pushed the assigned industry profile and operating environment range between aa– and bbb+, the agency said.
